People’s Memorial Association seeks to reduce challenges during the difficult time when a loved one dies. We help nurture members who advocate for and educate themselves around memorial and end-of-life planning. Since 1939, we have been the thought-leader for funeral choice, education, and advocacy in Washington State. There are currently over 70,000 living members in Washington State, and since our inception in 1939, we have served over 200,000 families. PMA seeks an individual for one or two opportunities:

• Short term project to help their in-house accountant develop the accounting procedures and internal controls documents. The organization has been very fortunate to be stable and financially viable for decades. Now is the time to get the internal controls reviewed and clean up the bookkeeping procedures manual.
• Finance committee member (not a board member) to meet once a quarter to look at financial statements for approximately one (1) hour and once a year to work on budget with the committee for a few hours.
